Phobio-klepto-kakisto-theocracy

Lord Acton said: "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Additionally, we are told that many dictators are surrounded by men of low mentality, and, finally, dictators always shut down free speech and free press.

A friend living in a dangerous country sent me an email which prompted this story. First part of the email says that he, the friend, goes to a super market that sells cheap disgusting synthetic milk. He says he stood behind a man who wore an outfit worn by those who sing funeral songs, normally mistaken for a full ruling clergy. The other line, parallel to this line, was formed by women. In fact, the elegy singer was the only man in the line while the female line consisted of four or five people. As soon as the funeral man was served and left, my friend says, he stepped forward to fill in his place, but a woman in the line strongly objected his action saying that my friend should go back to the end of the queue. My friend says he inquired why they, the women, let the funeral man be served first. She emphatically said that he was an exception. My friend’s further inquiry revealed the woman was dreadfully scary of all clergies including this elegy singer. “Besides,” she added, “he can put me in jail where he can freely torture and rape me. You cannot.”

More probing revealed that there are other odd forms of government less heard of, such as phobiocracy, kleptocracy, kakistocracy. In phobiocracy the basic organizing principles is the use of fear to keep the people in line. In other words, this system is based on common human trait of distrusting strangers who are repeatedly referred to by its leader as enemy. Kleptocracy, (Mafia state) is a system of governance where its officials and the ruling class, in general, pursue personal wealth and political power at the expense of the wider population. Kakistocracy is a system of governance where the worst or least-qualified citizens govern or dictate policies. Of course, we are well familiar with theocracy, but we never imagined that a conglomeration of these systems can be formed, in 21 century, to produce a most dreadful system of government approved by the invisible club!

Another part of his email gave the following:

“I had to repair my door lock. Called the local locksmith I knew for many years. He installed a new door lock, but it did not work. He kept putting the blame on many component parts such transformer etc. In a county where people are attacked by machete in the streets in broad daylight to racketeer, we badly needed a gate locked, but he did not show up. Whenever we called, an audio played citations from the holy script! After consulting a repairman who knew the locksmith, to my chagrin, I learned that the locksmith, being a giant in appearance, is a part time member of the Big Brother’s retinue.
